The 2023 Point in Time
Numbers 

Stanislaus County operates a Point in Time count, using volunteers, every year for those in shelters and every other year for unshelterd. We can at our local discretion perform unsheltered counts every year.   Why? It is the measure that the Federal HUD program uses to decide how to distribute its money to Continuums of Care throughout the county for homeless services.
